Care Tips For Your Haniya

We are often asked on how to take care of Haniya accessories, as at some point the jewelry tends to get dull and tarnished. Ofcourse, you would never want to lose your favorite thing so soon. So let’s talk about some useful tips to let our jewelry last longer.

Most of our jewelry is made up of brass and silver, which will naturally tarnish overtime and lose its polished luster. Guess what? We have found some easy and useful tips that can be used to bring back the shine and original look of our Haniya accessories.

Cleaning Tips:

  1. Water and Soap – this is one of the most ideal way to remove tarnish and any dirt from your jewelry. Just apply some soap on your jewelry, gently rub it with your fingers or a soft brush and rinse it with water.
  2. Baking Soda, Lemon Juice & Water: Use a mix of baking soda, lemon juice and water and scrub it on with a soft cloth, wipe it off and dry.
  3. Toothpaste – Toothpaste is amongst the most famous home remedies as it is used for various cleaning purposes. This method is extremely simple, apply some toothpaste on a soft toothbrush and rub it over your accessories. It should bring back the shine and its original look in no time.
  4. Do not use any product containing alcohol as this can ruin the finish.

Additional Caring Tips:

The methods mentioned above are to be used for cleaning and removing tarnish off brass material of the jewelry only. Most of our accessories have stones and other components as well which need to be handled with care. We recommend not scrubbing aggressively and wipe gently with a soft cloth around the gemstones to avoid damaging the jewelry. We also highly recommend to not wear the jewelry while doing household chores and keep inside the pouches provided when not in used. When in doubt, keep your jewellery clean and dry!

We hope this helps you understand tarnishing isn’t that bad afterall. You might have further queries so don’t forget to reach out to us at haniyaaccessories@gmail.com.
